Course Description

Measurement System Analysis is designed to help engineers and quality professionals assess, monitor, and reduce measurement system variation. Topics include measurement system linearity, stability, repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R), and the management and calibration of measurement instruments.

Measurement System Analysis is divided into two units: Analyzing Measurement System Variation and Managing Measurement Systems

Course Objectives
Learners will be able to:

Explain various sources of measurement system uncertainty;

Conduct measurement system studies including assessment of linearity, stability, repeatability, and reproducibility;

Define ways to improve measurement systems;

Understand and implement a gage management and calibration system.

Intended Audience
Operators, engineers, supervisors, and managers who will be using control charts in their jobs.
